Quilt A Difference
With our Quilt A Difference Facebook campaign about to launch I began scouring the internet for ideas. Quilt-EZ’s campaign is all about finding people who are making quilts for a good cause, whether it be to donate to a charity, or give to a young child in need, these are the things we want to hear about! We want to take stories like these and feature them on our Facebook page. This will give us the opportunity to brag about all the good things happening around us. With that in mind I began looking for something that we could do to make a difference here at Quilt-EZ. That’s when I stumble upon Quilts For Kids. Quilts For Kids was founded by Linda Arye with the mission of “Transforming fabrics into patchwork quilts that comfort children with life-threatening illnesses and children of abuse.” This charity did more than just catch my eye, it made me want to get involved! There are numerous ways to donate or help the charity, one of them being its quilting kits. For only the cost of shipping you will be sent an all-inclusive quilting kit so that you can make a quilt for a child in need. That’s all it took for me to become ecstatic, and I immediately ordered two; they should be here within 10-14 days. I can’t wait to tell you all about it as soon as they arrive in the mail.
